HAVANA
Casa Particular |
| In 1997 a major change occured in Cuba with regard to accommodations. The Cuban government allowed residents to rent rooms in their houses to tourists, called Casas Particulares. Since that time, the owners of the Casas promote their homes by distributing business cards, and by advertising on websites such as Cuba-Junky.com |

| Casa Particular Havana Vieja |

|
The
most beautiful, but also most touristical part. With
alot of colonial buildings restaurated by UNESCO.
But also streets with buildings which are very poor
and almost collapsing ...
For most tourists, this is the place where it all happens
...

| Casa Particular Havana Centro
|

|
The
very old and poor area of Habana, some streets is better
to stay out at night time. But you will mingle yourself
in this area with alot of Cubans and the real Habana
atmosphere and very close to Vieja, both must see area
of Habana.
For me as being Cuba-Junky Centro is THE place to stay.

| Casa Particular Havana Miramar / Playa |

|
The
`richest` part of Habana, Embassy buildings etc, and
even Fidel Castro is living ...
Mostly colonial houses which rent out rooms. Great safe
area but far from Vieja and other must sees areas.

| Casa Particular Havana Vedado |

|
The
part that was build by Americans and Russians. Alot
of flats. Except for the casas located at Nuevo Vedado, this is
a neighborhoud build before the revolution, with lots
of beautiful
vilas.
